Access Cards needed for new ESL students-Effective Summer 201205
Due to scheduled changes to the eCasas software and data reporting mechanisms, there is a need to modify the ESL admissions and registration processes. Beginning with the upcoming summer term, all new ESL students will be referred to the registration counters to complete an AFA card and obtain a 6 digit access card prior to the first testing date below:
Anaheim Campus- Monday, June 25th
Cypress Campus- Tuesday, July 3rd
Wilshire Campus- Tuesday, July 3rd
The attached flyers describe the new procedure;each registration counter with be provided with 250 copies within the next few days to have available in campus lobbies for ESL students. Additionally, the ESL Labs will be providing AFA cards to new students who may inquire about registration and will ask students to complete the AFA card prior to visiting the registration counter.
It is important to emphasize step number one in the registration process as outlined the attached flyer-STUDENTS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TAKE THE ESL PLACEMENT TEST WITHOUT THE 6-DIGIT ACCESS ID NUMBER. Students able to provide a valid photo ID will still need to have a 6-Digit Access ID number.
More information about this process will be shared at the upcoming registration meeting on June 6th at 1:30pm. In the meantime if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to give me a call.
Thank you for your continued hard work and commitment to serving our students!
