GED Update

Retakes: Start time for those retaking a test is 11:00 (regardless of the subject).
Cancellations or reschedules: Any student that pays and reserves a spot for the test is responsible for attending the date requested. In the past we would allow the student to call and cancel or roll to the next date, without any penalties. This is no longer the case.
New Rules: If a student calls prior to or the day of the test and states that they cannot attend for whatever reason and it is the first time, we can put them on a wait list for the following month and they will be charged a $25 processing fee payable to OCDE and payable by money order only. We can no longer make changes over the phone. They must come in and pay the fee and fill out a reservation form. The same rules apply for students taking retakes and partials they will also be charged the fee as well. This should help deplete the loss that Nancy takes when we have 5 or more no shows or cancellations.
If a student is a no show or they cancel a second time the state will keep their money order and they will have to complete full registration procedures. Full payment will be needed and paperwork completed. ($110 or the $20 retake fees).
This information will be revised on the registration form ASAP.
I know this is a lot of information to take in so please refer them to me till you are fully comfortable with the new procedures. Please don’t hesitate to call me, it’s better to give out correct information. I know the students will be upset but other testing centers already have these rules implemented.
REMINDER: All Students must schedule themselves for the full test - no more partials, UNLESS they have already partially tested and need to complete full test.
