Wilshire Update

Because of construction and furniture delivery delays, it has become necessary to amend the start and end dates of the ESL, DSPS, and Computer classes. As a result, classes will begin September 22nd and extend through December 12th. We are working with the SCE IT Department on notifying the continuing students of the schedule changes through the SARS automated phone message system. Furniture is scheduled to arrive on September 8th for the 100 building and September 15th for the 200 building. Nonetheless, a number of classes are schedule to start the week of September 8th with temporary classrooms made available in the 200 building. As of this weekend, the High School Lab and Learning Center staff expressed the need to start classes on September 8th; and therefore, will relocate to the 200 building for the first week of classes.

Every effort will be taken to ensure a smooth transition for faculty and students. Given the room changes and start date delays, we’ll need everyone’s assistance in further communicating such changes to students. More information will be shared at our upcoming staff meeting and via email communications as to how you can help with the transition.
