Minor Students - Special Admit Authorization
As a reminder, students under the age of 18 are not permitted to attend adult education physical fitness classes. However, should the student seek to attend other SCE classes, he / she may be permitted to attend under special circumstances. In addition to the Application for Admissions, minor students must complete the Special Admit Authorization form and obtain necessary signatures (i.e. Student, Parent, High School Administrator, SCE Campus Dean) prior to registering for classes. Minor students are required to receive special permission for every term of attendance.
Once permission is granted by the Campus Dean, the minor student may enroll only after the regular registration period so that priority is given to adult students.
A copy of the approved form for student’s receiving special permission will be filed in the Special Admit Authorization binder behind the Wilshire A&R work stations.
Keep in mind, children of any age may take Kids’ College classes as indicated in the course schedule.
The Special Admit form is available below for your reference.
