SCE Schedule Update

We are nearly half-way through the Summer 2010 term and Summer schedules are low or completely out.  Please inform students and other community members that the SCE Fall 2010 term schedule will be distributed the week of August 2, 2010.

Credit Card Data Entry Reminder

Please post credit card sales in TSAAREV by entering the type of card and the last 4 digits of the credit card number in the Description field next to the 3CRC detail code. You can abbreviate Mastercard, mc. The last 4 digits of the card is helpful in the event research is needed to clarify accounting issues.

See example below.

 Please enter the parking permit number as shown in the following example, in the Description field on the same line as the 3PRF detail code.. The word ‘permit’ is all lower case. Do not use the number symbol #. Posting the permit numbers in a standardized format helps when running reports for accounting purposes.

Credit Card Process Update in Banner

On Thursday, July 8, the process by which on-line credit card payments are made through myGateway will change. District IS has created a web page which details the change to the payment process for students in myGateway:

In order to accommodate our vendor, the date has been changed to migrate over to the new credit card process. The new date is Thursday July 8.  This means that Banner Self-Service (WebSTAR) and Banner will be unavailable from 6 am - 10 am on the morning of Thursday, July 8 to accommodate the cut-over.

A more detailed timeline of the implementation is provided below for your reference:

Tuesday, July 6 @ 5:00 pm - no more test transactions in the TEST database

Wednesday, July 7 - Official Payments convert from TEST to PRODUCTION.

Wednesday, July 7 @ Midnight - credit card transactions are batched and settled using our existing system. Credit card processing will remain disabled until the upgrade has been completed.

Thursday, July 8 @ 6:00 am - District IS runs scripts and configures Banner for the new payment process.  Banner and Banner Self-Service (WebSTAR) will be unavailable during this time.  Argos and myGateway will be unaffected.  Employees will be notified via e-mail as soon as Banner is available again.

Thursday, July 8 @ 10:00 - credit card transactions processed on-line through the new system

Friday, July 9 - Renie confirms (remotely) that transactions have settled properly and are posted with the bank.

Kids' College Swim Class Update

Just a reminder for all registering students in person.  Session II of Swimming at Cypress Starts on Tuesday July 6th due to Monday being the holiday.

IF you can remember – it’s possibly a good idea to either write on the receipt for the parents or tell them and have them write it – that the 1st week is Tues through Friday and the 2nd week is Monday through Thursday. (All swim sessions are two weeks long – but only 4 days per week).   When the receipts print they are printing M-F and I think this is confusing to the parents.  

We attempted to input the classes on one line in banner & in two lines to see which printed best for parents.  BOTH ways seem to confuse them, so it’s just a good idea to reiterate verbally to them when they register for Swim Classes.

GED Update - July test date now full
