The Beginning Keyboarding (COMP 685) classes are now available for summer 201005 online registration thru myGateway.  This change has been made to reflect what is published in the summer class schedule on page 15.

The following announcement has been placed on the front page of the SCE website.

The BEGINNING KEYBOARDING (COMP/685) classes are now available for 2010 Summer Term registration through MyGateway.  Log into http://mygateway.nocccd.edu to register for the following courses:

The following are the published dates for the SCE 2010 Summer Term registration:

· Thursday, May 27: CTE Online Registration

· Tuesday, June 1: SCE Online Registration

· Wednesday, June 2: Walk-In Registration

In the Spring Term, SCE piloted an early CTE online registration.  As indicated in the above dates, we will repeat this practice in the Summer Term as it provided the following benefits:

• Accommodated the high volume of registration activity for these popular CTE courses.
• Reduced the impact on the District server
• Allowed control of registration in duplicate courses (not allowing CTE students to register for more than one CRN for a specific course)
• Distributed a large amount of helpline calls over a two-day period

Online registration will begin at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 27 for CTE registration and Tuesday, June 1 for SCE registration.  Computers for online registration are available on Thursday, May 27 and Tuesday, June 1 at the SCE registration offices at the following times:

• Anaheim Campus and SCE Wilshire Center at 7:00 a.m.
• SCE Cypress Center at 7:30 a.m.

SCE 2010 SUMMER TERM CLASS SCHEDULE
The SCE 2010 Summer Term Class Schedule will be delivered to campuses and our local community members the week of May 10, 2010.  The schedule is now posted online at www.sce.edu/schedule.  Summer classes begin the week of June 28, 2010.

ONLINE REGISTRATION WORKSHOPS
Workshops are available to provide students with tips, checklists and information for a successful online registration experience. All students are welcome to attend.  Workshops will be held at the following dates/locations:
* Tuesday, 5/25:  12:00 noon – SCE Wilshire Center, Rm 214
* Wednesday, 5/26: 10:00 a.m. – Anaheim Campus, Rm 606
* Wednesday, 5/26: 7:30 p.m. – Anaheim Campus, Rm 606

Please note that the GED for May is now full.The next available test is June 19,2010.
