Returning Student Acknowledgment Form
Because of changes to the California Education Code (Title V, Section 55154), students who have not returned to the High School Lab to continue their studies by March 26, 2010 are now required to completed the new 160 credit requirement to complete the High School Diploma Program. Returning students will be required to read and sign the Returning Student Acknowledgment Form which is linked here for your review.
New Academic Success Program - Anaheim High School Lab ONLY
In the Fall 2010 term, a new academic success program will be piloted in the Anaheim High School Lab for new and returning diploma students. New and returning students will be required to attend the lab a MINIMUM of 6 hours per week. This new structure will help students complete their units at a faster rate, and allow for seats to become available for new students.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS ARE NOW AVAILABLE
The School of Continuing Education is pleased to announce that the 2009/2010 Scholarship Applications are now available. Students can pick up applications from the High School Labs, Learning Centers, CTE Program Office (Anaheim Campus, Room 103), ESL labs, or download the application [DOC].
Each scholarship requires an essay. DO NOT WORRY! Please visit the Anaheim Learning Center for helpful tips and support in completing the essay requirement. The application deadline is 3 p.m., April 9, 2010. The submission locations are as follows: High school Students: submit materials to a High School Lab instructor. CTE students: submit materials to the CTE office (Anaheim, Room 103). ESL students: submit materials to the ESL lab staff. Interested in a Scholarship??
The 2009/2010 Scholarship Application will be available in all High School Labs and Learning Centers at the start of the winter trimester. All scholarships require students to submit a written response, and the requirements for the written responses will be indicated on the scholarship application when published. Students, do not worry!
The Learning Center, at the Anaheim Campus, will be facilitating Scholarship Essay Workshops to help students create, revise, and perfect the written assignment. The Scholarship Essay workshops will be held biweekly on Mondays at 10 a.m. and Wednesdays at 1 p.m. starting January 11, 2010. All eligible students are encouraged to apply!

Diploma Program Closed to New Students
The High School Diploma Program—Anaheim, Cypress, and Wilshire High School Labs— will be closed to new students beginning Monday, October 12, 2009 for the remainder of the fall ’09 trimester. Any potential diploma student who does not complete orientation and assessment by Friday, October 9th will be advised to contact the SCE Matriculation Office in the winter trimester (beginning January 4, 2010) to see if the diploma program has reopened to new students.
