Mobility Training Skills Course

We are now offering a Mobility Training Skills Course where students can learn to ride the fixed routes on OCTA to and from school and/or work. This training is funded by a JARC (Job Access and Return Commute) grant offered through OCTA which allows us the opportunity to work with students on a One to One bases providing them with

A customized trip plan
A companion and personalized travel training
Instruction in reading a bus book, and
Interacting appropriately and safely in the community

This class is available to all DSPS students who are currently taking ACCESS and/or students who would like to become more independent in their community. If interested or for additional information about mobility training, please feel free to stop by the DSPS main office or call at 714-484-7057. Our mobility Coordinator/Instructor, April Guajardo, can also be contacted by email at aguajardo@sce.edu.
