Disabled Student Programs and Services

On May 22, 2010 The Special Olympics Orange County Regional Games took place at Irvine High School. Our DSPS Special Olympics Basketball teams took home the Gold and Bronze Medals. The Cypress ILS Class has two Special Olympics Basketball Teams. They are the SCE Sea Otters and the SCE Sea Lions. Coach Megan led the SCE Sea Otters with help from Coach Julie. Coach Mary led the SCE Sea Lions with help from Coach Jackie and Coach Virginia. In the Track & Field events Coach Julia, Coach Debi and Coach Kayla took 6 DSPS students who won 6 Gold medals, 6 Silver medals, 8 Bronze medals, 1- 4th place ribbon and 1- 5th place ribbon. A Special Thank you to Coach Craig for helping the SCE Sea Lions win the Bronze Medal. We all had a great time and played hard. Thank you so much to all our coaches and volunteers who came out and helped with this successful and fun event. A special thank you to all the families who came out and cheered our teams along!

Starting March 30, 2009 Gym I will be open for lunch time basketball on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:40 – 12:20. So come in and play some basketball with our DSPS Staff.

This past Fall Semester we raised $ 2,500.00 from our See’s Candy Fundraiser within our three campuses. Thank you to all our students and families for your continued support.
