FREE Drama Class for Older Adults Provides Seniors Creative Outlet

Seniors can express themselves in SCE’s new beginning drama class for older adults. The class, hosted by SCE’s Older Adults Program (OAP), is held every Friday morning, 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the Muckenthaler Cultural Center in Fullerton. The class is specifically designed to address the needs and interests of older adults. Students can enroll at anytime by coming to class at the Muckenthaler - no fee is required!

Students will develop skills in character development, scene analysis, improvisation, and stage presence while participating in various forms of performance-related activities. This class is for all levels of experience and students may enroll at any time.

The class is taught by Susan Boulanger, an experienced theater director and actor who has been teaching acting for 15 years. She is a faculty member in the Mt. San Antonio College Theater Department, and has taught at Fullerton College, Riverside Community College, College of the Canyons, Orange County High School of the Arts, as well as in numerous community and school-based programs. She has directed productions in Los Angeles, Orange County, San Francisco, Alaska, and Pennsylvania. As an actor, Susan has been seen in commercials, TV, and industrials.
