NOCCCD School Of Continuing Education Is Now Registering Students For The Kids’ College And Teen Program At All Three Campuses

The North Orange County Community College District’s (NOCCCD) School of Continuing Education (SCE) is currently registering students for the Kids’ College and Teen Program (KC&TP) classes’ at all three North Orange County campuses in Anaheim, Cypress, and Fullerton. Some classes begin the week of June 21, 2010. Start dates vary throughout the summer term; see individual courses for specific start dates.

KC&TP is offering classes and camps for kids and teens - ages 6 months - 17 years. From art and music to reading and math to basketball and swimming, SCE’s Kids’ College & Teen Program has it all! EXPANDED! SCE’s Kids’ College & Teen Program offers an expanded summer swim program. Classes will begin the week of June 21 and will be held at Cypress College Pool:

• Parent and Me Swimming (Ages 6m-4y)

• Summer Swim Lessons-NEW SESSIONS OFFERED!

  • Beginner, Advanced Beginner, Intermediate, Swimmer levels
  • Ages 5-17
• Junior Lifeguard (Ages 11-14)
• Pre-Competitive Swim
• Beginning Spring Board Diving
• Introductory Synchronized Swimming-NEW! (Ages 7-12)
• Water Polo (Ages 9-12)
• Water Polo also offered at the FULLERTON COLLEGE POOL (Ages 9-17)

NEW! Digital Arts Camps for students ages 8-15 years These new classes, offered through Freshi Films LLC, are designed to give each student the chance to experience the process of taking an idea from conception to completion. Classes include:

• Digital Film Making Camp
• Screenwriting Camp
• Digital Video Game Design Camp
• Stop Motion Animation Camp
• Digital Music Mixing Camp

NEW! Personal Enrichment Classes for kids and teens! These classes are designed to impart important life skills (mixed in with fun) to each student while building self-confidence. Classes include:

Academic Camps

The KC&TP also offers camps to prepare students for the next academic year. Students can review academic subjects or prepare for the upcoming school year. Subjects include reading, writing, math, and science review by grade level (up to Grade 4). For children who need a refresher on grade-level subjects - these are the camps for them! Camps last one week long and are offered multiple times throughout the summer.
