SCE's Wilshire Players Open their 16th Season with "Encounters" This Weekend

 

TheaterThe SCE Wilshire Players theater troop will perform “Encounters” this Friday, October 26 and Saturday, October 27 at The Gallery Theater in Anaheim; performances begin at 8 p.m. “Encounters” features one acts and monologues by students in the SCE English as a Second Language (ESL) Program. The group, opening its 16th season this weekend, is directed by instrucor Dr. Foroud Beigi.

 

“The Wilshire Players theater group allows English-language learners an opportunity to practicie their language acquisition while exploring classic litterature and plays as well as learning new skills such as stage performance,” says Beigi.

 

Included in this weekend’s show are “The Zoo Story” by Edward Albee, “Who’s On First?” by Bud Abbott and Lou Costello, “The Tape” by Jose Rivera, and “Synthetic Pink” by Sam Shepard.  Both performances are free to the public; call 714.630.9870 for reservations.
