Change. Cultivated. Possibilities.
Across SCE, we are committed to increasing student success. This fall we are introducing a number of new tools and strategies to support our students and their success. From counseling, orientation, tutoring, assessment, and career exploration, SCE has many services available to enhance student goal-setting and achievement. Research shows that carefully designed student services integrated with instructional programs lead to increased student success. With this in mind, we are excited to launch our new online orientation tool that allows students to access program orientations for our High School Diploma Program and Medical Assistant Certificate Program. For more details, see pages 10 and 25 respectively in our printed class schedule.
Thanks to the support of our community through the passage of proposition 30, we are pleased to increase the number of class offerings in our schedule this fall. We have added courses in career technical education, English as a second language, basic skills, community education and much more. Our faculty and staff are committed to helping our students set, pursue and reach academic, career and life goals. I am pleased that you have chosen SCE to continue your education and I look forward to seeing you in class at one of our Centers or community partner locations. Let’s have a great fall term.
