Dual Monitor staff computers and Banner

A lot of SCE staff now have dual monitors at their desks. Having a second monitor is a great tool which helps cut down on switching back and forth between applications. Pretty much any application can be moved to the secondary monitor. In this case, the secondary monitor is the screen that does not have a taskbar at the bottom or a start menu. So you can use any of the Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, or Outlook on the secondary screen along with running other SCE applications like Itendance, Transpoint, or the SCE Webmail system. The only application that does not behave on the secondary monitor is Banner, so remember that if you use Banner extensively throughout your workday that it has to live on your Primary monitor. The primary monitor typically has your Windows Start menu, Task bar, and many of your application shortcuts or files you’ve saved on the desktop.
