SCE Professional Development (Pro D) honors the dedication and leadership of influential faculty and staff. Led by an eight member representative committee, Pro D supports all SCE faculty and staff by providing and promoting a wide variety of training opportunities.
Pro D provides funding for participation in a broad scope of external professional learning opportunities such as conferences and webinars. Pro D facilitates internal professional learning opportunities such as seminars and workshops at one or all of the three SCE Centers.
Upon your return, you will be required to complete a Travel Expense Report and submit it to SCE’s Accounting Office.
The committee plans and implements the tenured instructor Flex Program and reports Flex attendance. SCE completes documents with the State each year regarding Flex and is required to collect yearly attendance for full time faculty.
Pro D is dedicated to support each and every instructor and staff member. To RSVP for a Pro D event, visit the District Professional Development Calendar. SCE seminars and workshops are open to all employees and events on the District Professional Development Calendar are open to SCE employees as room permits.
