Student Leadership Opportunity

SCE Needs Student Representation!

As part of our WASC accreditation school-wide plan, we are looking for student representatives to participate in our planning and budgeting processes.

Student representatives will:

  • Gain valuable leadership experience
  • Be eligible to receive a certificate of leadership participation upon completion
  • Be able to include this leadership experience in their resume as part of community involvement
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of school and state budgeting and planning
  • Gain access to a network of school faculty, staff and administrators, including a committee mentor
  • Have an opportunity to make a positive impact in the future of their school

Your Commitment

  • Disseminate information to SCE students
  • Gather feedback from SCE students
  • Report the SCE students' perspective/feedback at meetings
  • Participate in assigned committee work
  • Provide feedback at the end of your term noting highlights of your experience and items on how to improve the position
  • Train and mentor the incoming student representative

You Will need to:

  • Serve a one-year term
  • Have a good command of English (oral and written)
  • Able to attend afternoon meetings at the Anaheim Campus
  • Comfortable utilizing online resources (i.e. Internet, email, myGateway, etc.)
